Teen angst has always found an escape in the arts. For many, this phase is an adolescent one. But for others, interests in artwork, design, and music carry on into later adult life. ‘Home Is Currently Unavailable’ is an online space created to honor these interests. This platform and brand provide readers a chance to explore their own views of both Self and society through engagement with contemporary art, culture, writing, and psychology. For my design process, I drew from the visual languages of ransom note lettering and glitch aesthetics to emphasize themes of angst, displacement, and youthful creative escape. This identity system was then built out across a variety of deliverables, ranging from web design, editorials, posters, billboards, and more.
